Congratulations to Michigan Dialysis Services Livonia Dialysis Clinic in Michigan, winner of the 2011 ESRD Patient Safety Improvement Award! Michigan Dialysis Services worked to reduce patient falls in the dialysis facility. As a result of their root cause analysis and subsequent implementation of target interventions, Michigan Dialysis Services has seen a reduction in patient falls.

Professionals who submit their leading practices on the Keeping Kidney Patients Safe website by January 31, 2012 will be considered for RPA's ESRD Patient Safety Improvement Award. The awardees will be selected by a multi-disciplinary committee comprised of physicians, patients and other members of the renal health care team and will be honored at our 2012 Annual Meeting in Washington, DC in March.
