Congratulations, Wheeling Renal Care (WRC) of Wheeling, West Virginia!
WRC is the first facility to be highlighted in our Spotlight on Safety. WRC has shared their best practice on preventing Patient Falls. WRC has developed a policy that creates "individual strategies to help people maximize their opportunities for a physical activity and a fuller life." WRC's fall prevention policy includes risk assessment, education, physical activity plans, follow ups before every treatment, and monthly meeting with the exercise physiologist.
